Bottle Share

Our Bottle Share event is back and better than ever for WCPC26!

Your ticket purchase includes a souvenir to keep, a taste of an exclusive mead, and all proceeds from the Bottle Share will go to our (TBD) charity partner!

Huzzah, travelers! Join us for an evening of merry fellowship and shared libations at our annual Bottle Share. Whether thou bringest a prized local brew, a rare mead, or a beloved cider, this gathering is all about discovering new favorites and sharing them with fellow enthusiasts.

As the festivities commence, all assembled shall be invited to partake in a special opening toast featuring an exclusive mead commissioned by Bumbling Fools Mead! This unique blend was created especially for our gathering and shall make its debut at this event. Arrive promptly, good gentles, lest thou miss thy chance to sample this exclusive creation, which may never be made again! (Sorry, this will not be available to take home.)

21+, obviously, plus you must bring something to share. No hard liquor; only beer, cider, hard seltzers, and meads will be allowed. More details on this are below.

SOME GENERAL BOTTLE SHARE DO’S & DON’TS

What is a Bottle Share?

Bottle Shares are the best part about the craft beer/cider/mead/seltzer world. They were originally created for the most passionate people in the community, but they are perfect for anyone with any level of interest to try and experience new offerings. Bottle Shares are the perfect opportunity to share something delicious with like-minded craft beverage drinkers, whether it’s something special from your collection, something local that others wouldn’t be able to try, or just something that you really, really like and think others should try too.

Bring a Bottle to Share

Admission to the Bottle Share requires a contribution for the group. Please bring a share-sized offering such as a bomber, crowler, growler, or at most a six-pack. A single 12 oz bottle is not sufficient for this event.

Share Something Special

Bring a beverage you’re excited to discuss and share with others. Local craft offerings, unique finds, seasonal specialties, and hard-to-find favorites are always welcome. This is a celebration of craftsmanship and discovery, so please leave the everyday domestic lagers at home.

Respect the Steward of the Bottle

Please do not open any bottle you did not bring. If a particular offering catches your eye, feel free to ask its owner about it. The owner of each bottle should be the one to open, pour, and share it.

Sip, Don’t Swill

The purpose of the Bottle Share is to sample a variety of beverages and discover something new—not to become thoroughly pickled. We encourage small pours, responsible enjoyment, and merry fellowship throughout the evening.

Should a reveler partake a bit too enthusiastically and become visibly intoxicated, they will be asked to depart the gathering. For the well-being of all assembled, convention staff may escort the guest back to their lodgings to rest and recover before continuing their convention adventure.

Stay Hydrated

Water will be available throughout the event. We strongly recommend arriving well hydrated, continuing to drink water during the gathering, and bringing a large refillable water bottle of your own.

Serve at the Proper Temperature

While we will have some ice bath space available, please arrive with your offering already chilled and ready to serve, unless it is a beverage specifically intended to be served warm.

Raise a glass, make new friends, and enjoy an evening of good company and excellent drink. Cheers, and huzzah!
